ZINK, William "Bill" Henry, Jr., 80, of Triadelphia, WV, died Thursday, September 5, 2013.
He was born July 9, 1933 in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late William Henry Sr. and Emma Haney Zink.
Bill was a retired AEP employee and a U.S. Army veteran where he served in the Korean War as a radio operator and was discharged with Honors.
Bill was an outstanding community service leader; he was a 40-year member of the Valley Grove Lions Club, a 57-year member of the Valley Grove Volunteer Fire Department and former Mayor of Valley Grove for 18 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara McDonald Zink.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Mary Jean Zink; three sons, William H. Zink, III (Phyllis), Michael A. Zink (Patricia) and James P. Zink (Kris); a step-son, Michael E. Foster; two step-daughters, Sherica (Sandor) Kovacs and Shauna G. Foster; grandchildren, Heather, Cindy, Brian (Heather), Matthew, Josh, Jordan, Will, Joey, Zach and Brea; and great-grandchildren, Mountain, Hunter and Gage.
Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. (304-242-2311) where service will be held on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. with Reverend Thomas R. Rentfrow officiating. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
