MILLER, Howard "Bee" Sr., 87, of Wheeling, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Liza's Place.

He was born March 21, 1926, in Elm Grove, son of the late John and Madeline Paxton Miller.

He was a retired carpenter and a life member of Carpenter Union Local 3. He was also a former building contractor.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and U.S. Merchant Marines veteran, and served in WWII. He was also a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4442, lifetime member of Wheeling Park Men's Golf Club, member of Chi Chi Golf Club, and Eagles Aerie 1891 Elm Grove where he was a golden member.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Marie Hall Miller; two sons, David Lee Miller and Howard Miller, Jr., three brothers, George, Earl and Harry Miller; five sisters, Emma Griffith, Thelma Weaver, Marguerite Fleming, and Helen Mozingo, and Marianne Kriger; and a son-in-law, Joey Hudson.

He is survived by a son, Steven Miller and his wife, Denise of Bethlehem; five daughters, Vivian L. Hudson of Spotsylvania, VA, Marsha M. Yager of Longview, TX, Donna L. DeFede and her husband, Frank of Venice, FL, Carla J. Minor and her husband, Tim of Elm Grove, WV, and Nadine L. Black and her husband, Paul of Anaheim, CA; a brother, Albert Nickerson and his wife, Shirley of Belair, MD; a sister, Loretta Senkbeil of Wheeling; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Tuesday, September 17, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Elm Grove, Wheeling (304-242-2311), where a service will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at 11 a.m.

Interment in Park View Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Liza's Place, 308 Mount St. Joseph Road, Wheeling, WV 26003.
