Athletic conference changes and other factors involved in high-stakes college football ended one of the most eagerly anticipated events in West Virginia - the annual "Backyard Brawl" between West Virginia University and University of Pittsburgh.
Anything could happen during a WVU-Pitt game, adding to the charm of what had been one of college football's oldest rivalries until it ended with the 2011 game, when both schools joined new conferences.
