A man died of natural causes while behind the wheel prior to wrecking his car Sunday morning, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said on Monday.
Dispatchers said they received the call at 9:41 a.m. of an accident involving one vehicle just off of U.S. 250 in Colerain. The vehicle had traveled off the road and over an embankment, striking a tree.
According to dispatchers, it appears the man died prior to the vehicle going over the embankment.
While they were unable to confirm the cause of death, dispatchers said they believe the man, who was not identified Monday night, died of a heart attack.
The accident remains under investigation.
