Devin Roberts is free on bond after being arrested for firing a 9mm assault rifle while intoxicated Monday.
St. Clairsville police officer T.J. Stewart responded to 137 High Street at 3:44 a.m. where they found Roberts on the rear deck of the home. A police report indicated responding officers noticed the gun in a chair, as well as several spent shell casings from three types of guns in the yard and driveway.
According to police, officers took Roberts to the Belmont County Justice Center where he posted $1,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in Western Division Court on Thursday.
Additionally, a police report from Saturday morning indicates a resident found a bullet had entered through a rear window of her home and lodged into a wall. She claimed the bullet was found within a few feet of where her children were sleeping.
Further charges may be pending with Belmont County Prosecutor Chris Berhalter.
