NEW MANCHESTER - After twice battling back, it took a Matt Hartman 4-yard run late, and then a defensive stand at its own 5 for Weir to pull out a wild victory against Oak Glen.
Oak Glen had taken a 23-20 lead when quarterback Zac Porter scored on a 19-yard run with four minutes left.
That's when Hartman and the defense took over.
Weir's Kameron Davis, subbing for injured quarterback William Larch in the Red Riders' 'wildcat' offense, finished with 139 yards and two touchdowns. Jake Wypasek, who ran the more traditional offense, was 9 of 14 for 78 yards.
Alec Swiger had 105 yards and a touchdown for Oak Glen (0-6) and Porter was 8 of 12 passing for 75 yards.
