GOODRICH, Douglas A., 56, longtime resident of Jacksonville, FL, passed away September 21, 2013.
He was born in Charelston, WV, son of the late Robert and Ann (Allen) Goodrich.
He lived much of his youth in Wheeling. He attended Wheeling Country Day School and Linsly Military Institute. Doug had fond memories of Oglebay Park.
He attended the University of South Carolina where he majored in Business Administration, and was co-founder of American Advertising Distributors of Jacksonville.
He proudly sat on the boards of the School Advisory Council for Ribault High School, Landmark Middle School and Sandalwood High School.
Doug worked in marketing for many years in the local Radio and TV advertising business. He was CEO of B3 Marketing and Media Firm.
A true people person, everyone who met him was his friend. He looked forward to spending time with family at the beach and also loved to cook meals for them, especially the family holiday dinners.
He will be sadly missed by his family, wife, Betsy, sons, Andrew Goodrich of Washington, DC, and Taylor (Danielle) Goodrich of Jacksonville, two siblings, Robert (Virginia) Goodrich and Dorothy Ann (Max) Shanley, extended family and many dear friends.
A Celebration of his life was held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
