STEUBENVILLE - Sierra Porter found the back of the net at the 32-minute mark and that is all Steubenville needed as it blanked Indian Creek, 2-0, on senior night.
''We told our girls to put a performance out there that was worthy of all the hard work these seniors have put into rebuilding this program, they did that and then some,'' Steubenville coach Jared Robinson said. ''We have a great group of seniors who have been dedicated to this sport since they have decided to come out, to see them get this win on their last home game will be something the coaching staff will never forget. They're special to us and to this program.''
Allie Zimish, who assisted on Porter's goal, got a goal of her own at the 58-minute mark when Porter's pass found Zimish open down the middle of the field.
Big Red outshot the Redskins, 19-5.
