Members of the Wheeling Park High School Homecoming court will be part of the annual Homecoming parade, set to wind through the streets of downtown Wheeling today.
The parade floats will feature the Homecoming king and queen candidates, sports teams and students from all grade levels beginning at 6:30 p.m. The parade participants will march to the music of the Bridge Street, Triadelphia, Warwood, Wheeling Middle and Wheeling Park bands.
Immediately following the parade, a pep rally will be held at Heritage Port to gear up for Friday's Homecoming football game against Elkins at Wheeling Island Stadium. The Homecoming queen will be announced during halftime of the game.

Students will later celebrate at the Homecoming dance set for 8-11 p.m. Saturday at the WPHS gym where the Homecoming king will be crowned.
This year's Homecoming queen candidates include Carly Dicola, Paige Durkin, Miriam Flatley, Charli Goodwin, Cece Jebbia, Karen Laska, Kristy Kull, Mikia Mueller, Shelby Stoffer and Marissa Tucker. Homecoming king candidates include Eric Bonar, Grove Calvert, Matt Hackathorn, Blake Humphrey, Geremy Paige, Nathan Mauck, Zach Phillips, Grant Robertson, Jamie Tarr and Nick Wolfe.
