WEIRTON-Madonna's dynamic senior duo of Eliott Nero and Ross Comis led Madonna to a convincing victory.

In piling up 75 points, Madonna scored 11 touchdowns: seven times on runs from scrimmage, twice on passes, once on a pass interception and once on a kickoff return.

The No. 2 ranked Blue Dons rolled up 550 yards of offense to 163 for the Fighting Irish, who went into the game ranked as the No. 11 West Virginia Class A team.

Nero carried the ball 10 times and rolled up 204 yards and had rushing touchdowns of 60, 61 and 62 yards. That puts him seven yards shy of the 1,000 mark in seven games thus far.

Nero also scored on an 89-yard kickoff return late in the fourth quarter..

Quarterback Comis put up 111 rushing yards and two touchdowns and passed for 33 more yards and two touchdowns. He had a 19-yard scoring aerial to sophomore Dillon Shaw and another 19-yarder to senior Will Bowser. That gives Comis 43 completions in 69 attempts for 808 yards and nine touchdowns.

He has accumulated 1,716 total yards thus far. In 2012, Comis had more than 2,200 total offensive yards.
