Law enforcement officers from Bellaire, Shadyside and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a report of shots fired in Elm Alley in Bellaire at about 4 p.m. Monday.
Bellaire Police Chief Mike Kovalyk said no one was injured and police are working on a few leads.
"We did recover casings from a handgun," the chief said. "We have a couple of names that were mentioned. We are looking for a possible vehicle and individual that may have been in that vehicle."
Kovalyk did not release a description of the suspect vehicle. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call their local police department.
