TRIGG, Elmer J., 98, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, formerly of Bellaire, Ohio, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the Forest Hill Retirement Center in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

He was born June 6, 1915 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Marion and Ethel Schramm Trigg.

Elmer was a self-employed owner and heating contractor with Trigg Brothers Heating and a member of the South Bellaire United Methodist Church.

He was an avid bowler and continued bowling well into his 80s.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie F. Crouse Trigg, on December 15, 1999; an infant son, Denny E. Trigg; two sisters, Ida Nelson and Mina Early; and six brothers: Arthur, Wilson, John, Delbert, Vernon and Lewis Trigg; and one great-grandson, Lee Warren James.

Surviving are his children: Bonnie L. James of Follansbee, West Virginia, Jack L. Trigg of Kennewick, Washington, William E. (Nancy) Trigg of Flushing, Ohio, Albert J. (Medy) Trigg of Neffs, Ohio and Danny A. (Brenda) Trigg of Shadyside, Ohio; and one sister, Ruth Sidone of Jupiter, Florida. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 441 37th St., Bellaire, Ohio, on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Pastor James Lish officiating. Interment in the Powhatan Cemetery in Powhatan Point, Ohio.
