NADOLSKI, Mary E., 87, of Moundsville, W.Va. died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born October 11, 1926, in Elbert, W.Va., a daughter to the late Ben and Sophia (Jastrzemski) Gursky. She was retired from Giant Eagle and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Moundsville. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Eagles Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester A. Nadolski; one son, Frederick Nadolski; one brother, Leon Gursky; and one sister, Helen C. Lavenski.
She is survived by one son, Chester C. (Charlotte) Nadolski of Moundsville; four daughters, Mrs. James (Mary Ann) McWilliams of Baltimore, Ohio, Irene M. Smith of Pickerington, Ohio, Mrs. Gary (Christine) Clough of Elm Grove, and Mrs. Dwight (Leann) Hanshew of North Wales, Pa.; one daughter-in-law, Cathy Nadolski of Wexford, Pa.; two sisters, Vicki Matkovich of Glen Dale, W.Va., and her twin sister, Stella E. Nadolski of Michigan; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes and Kirby-Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, with a vigil service at 7 p.m and a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Moundsville with Rev. Raju Antony as celebrant. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Moundsville.
