WINTERSVILLE - After an early run, Edison never got closer than three points as Indian Creek led by as many as 13 in the fourth quarter before holding on for a 54-46 victory Friday night in boys' basketball action.
The Redskins (3-3) limited the Wildcats (2-6) to 22 points through the first three quarters of the game. Edison picked up the pace in the fourth quarter as the it recorded 24 points, but it was not enough to complete the comeback.
Johnny Haught tallied a game-high 18 points to lead the way for the Redskins, while Cody Durbin delivered 13 points and Andrew Anderson netted 10.
Wilken scored a team-high 15 points, and Erik Lee tallied 14 points for Edison.
The biggest difference in the game came at the free-throw line. Led by the shooting of Durbin, the Redskins converted 17 of 21 attempts. Durbin netted all 11 of his free throws in the game.
The Wildcats were 4 of 5 from the free-throw line.
