WHEELING-A Wheeling Island woman was awakened this morning by an intruder she discovered stealing jewelry and cash from her bedroom.
The woman, who had been asleep in the living room, immediately called 911 as the burglar fled the home.
A Wheeling Police report issued at mid-morning states that multiple police units-including a K-9 - responded to a 7:58 a.m. call at the North Erie Street residence.
