STEUBENVILLE - Michael Manfresca came up big down the stretch as Steubenville Catholic rallied for a victory against Bishop Donahue.
The senior knocked down four straight free throws and also grabbed a key rebound as the Crusaders overcame a 12-point deficit to win for the sixth time in eight outings.
He got plenty of help from fellow seniors Brenton Colabella, who scored eight of his 10 during the final quarter, and Matt Martello, who buried two critical 3-pointers.
Ryan Fletcher scored a game-high 23 points and Colabella had 10 for the Crusaders. Manfresca and Martello each finished with nine.
Taylor Straughn netted 16 to pace the Bishops (4-2). Chaice Truex added 15, nine rebounds and three blocks.
"No disrespect to Central because they have an outstanding team, but we gave it away,'' Bishop Donahue coach Tom Wise said. ''We were up 12 then we had some bad shot selections. There was a whole series of little things that their six seniors took advantage of. They made plays when they had and we didn't. We made them for a while but not in the fourth quarter. It's just frustrating as heck."
