BROSH, John "Jack" E., 87, of Wheeling, W.Va. died Friday, January 3, 2014 at OVMC.
He was born November 5, 1926, in Wheeling, a son to the late Edward W. and Anna V. (Pavelka) Brosh.
He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Wheeling, and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council 504. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Golf League and was a third generation roofer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael D. Brosh; and one sister, Eleanor Sevcik.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marty Brosh; one son, Kevin C. (Jeanne) Brosh of Shadyside, Ohio; two daughters, Karen S. (Gene "Gino") Angelo of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Janet M. Phillips of Wheeling; one brother, Robert M. Brosh of Wheeling; two grandchildren, Jessica Angelo (Christopher) DeVoy of Glen Burnie, Md., and Julie (Jason) Bradney of Moundsville, W.Va.; one great-grandson, David James Bradney; two step grandchildren, Natalie (Pat) King, and Steven France; and two step great- grandchildren, Emma and Liam.
Friends will be received on Monday, January 6, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 9 a.m. with Rev. Dennis R. Schuelkens Jr. as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
