James Byser

BYSER, James "Jim" Louis, 85, of Ninth Street, Moundsville, WV died Friday, January 3, 2014 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.

He was born February 7, 1928 in Belmont County, Ohio, the son of the late Louis and Theresa Yshuta Byser.

He was a retired railroad worker with CSX, a U.S. Air Force veteran, and a member of the Moundsville Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo Byser; three brothers, Joseph, Anthony Sr. and Johnny Byser; and four sisters, Ann Filter, Helen Garrison, Catherine Kirkhart, and Betty Mason.

Survivors include two daughters, Theresa (Don) Blake of Moundsville and Pamela Coffey of Moundsville; four grandchildren, Michele (Brian) Whitecotton of Moundsville, Nicole (Ethan) Morgan of Jacksonville, FL, and Dustin and Dalton Carr of Anne Arundel County, MD; two great-grandchildren, Brittney Fisher and Jesse Whitecotton both of Moundsville; four sisters, Margaret Hogan of Glen Dale, Mary Nice of DE, Alice Glover and Alberta Woods both of Moundsville.

Family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. J. Thomas Steele officiating.

Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville, WV.
