Richard Kirsopp

KIRSOPP, Richard H. "Dick," 67, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died January 7, 2014 at UPMC Montefiore.

He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 18, 1946, son of the late Frank and Margaret Kirsopp.

Dick retired as a District Manager for Western and Southern Life Insurance Company. After retirement, he worked as a self - employed contractor of Mr. K's Handyman Service. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Dick was an active member of Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville where he served as President of the United Methodist Men. He served assisting the Boy Scouts for many years and was Scoutmaster of Troop 66 for nine years.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Julie Kirsopp; two sons, Adam Kirsopp of the home and David Kirsopp and his fiancee Anna Paparone of Kent, Ohio; his twin brother, Robert J. (Cheryl) Kirsopp of Finleyville, Pennsylvania, a sister, Barbara (Harry) Jones of Spring, Texas and a brother, Frank Kirsopp of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

Visitation will again be held at Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services to be held at noon with Rev. Dr. Bradley Call officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
