BELLAIRE - St. John Central continued its late-season surge with a victory against Buckeye Local.

Sophomores Marissa Rose (26) and Lindsey Froehlich (18) combined for 44 points to spark the Irish, winners of five of their last six. Classmate Jessica Alvey enjoyed a superb all-around night with eight points, eight steals and nine rebounds. Froehlich grabbed 12 boards and freshman Taylor Lowe chipped in with nine points.

Sophomore Becky Zeroski sparkled for the Panthers, netting 21 points, including four 3-pointers. Lauren Swiger added 19 points.
