WHEELING - Freshman Jazzie Orth nearly produced a double-double with a team high-tying 13 points and nine rebounds as Linsly (18-1) punched its ticket to the Wheeling Hospital Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Girls' Basketball Championship by pulling away from Magnolia, 50-38, on Thursday night at Stifel Field House.
The top-seeded Cadets, who have won 18 straight since opening the season with a loss, will meet No. 2 Fort Frye, which dispatched Shenandoah in the other semifinal at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Ohio University Eastern.
Coach Erica Hall's team also received 13 points from Vivian Allison and 12 from J.J. Jackson. Morgan Brunner contributed eight points and seven rebounds.
The Blue Eagles were led by a game-high 24 points off the hands of Mallory Chapman. Grace Berisford netted eight points.
