The Moundsville Police Department is investigating a Saturday night incident in which two individuals at BB&T Lafayette Avenue Branch were robbed at gunpoint.
According to a police report, two individuals were dropping off a deposit at about 9:30 p.m. when a female wearing a ski mask and dressed in camouflage pulled a silver semiautomatic pistol out of her pocket and demanded money and one of the individuals' cell phones.
The suspect got away with between $2,000 and $3,000, according to police.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Officer Ben Davis said police are checking to see if any footage of the robbery is available from surrounding businesses. Davis urged employees of other businesses to keep an eye open for suspicious activity when making late night deposits.
"It's hit and miss with these things," Davis said. "If they were able to get away easy, they might try again. I've never seen something like this in Moundsville before."
