BROCK, Helen Marie Kirkpatrick Neeley, 85, formerly of Short Creek, WV, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital and Geriatric Center, Wheeling.
She was born December 22, 1928, in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late William J. and Emna Louise Baker Brock.
Helen was a retired waitress from Truck Stops of America, and she was Protestant by Faith.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing games with them and getting hugs and kisses. She enjoyed playing bunco, bingo, badminton, and fishing. She was a hard worker , always happy, a very loving and strong person.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are her four children, Evelyn Clark and her husband, Robert; Darlene Klug and Jeff Hockenberry all of Triadelphia, WV; Deanna Lynn Brown of Wheeling, WV; and Teddy Neeley of Martins Ferry, OH; 10 grandchildren, Tammy Hammons, Billie Jo Hullak, Nicole Clear, Billy and Michael Hockenberry, Jamie Riffle, Doug Brown, Brittany Hunter, Kayla and Brandon Brown; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014, at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, Wheeling (304- 242-2311), where services will be held at noon on Saturday, February 22, 2014, with Pastor Mike Palmer officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
