BAKER, David Marion, 69, of Wheeling, passed away February 28, 2014 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born August 30, 1944, in Wheeling, son of the late John and Eloise Baker.
He retired as a truck driver for Waste Management of Ohio after 22 years, and then was a security guard at Wheeling Hospital and Tele Tech. He was a member of Hope United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Baker; two daughters-in-law, Terry and Brenda Ward; two sons, Richard and William Ward; a granddaughter, Stephanie Stahl; a sister, Jolene Baker; and three brothers, James, Audrey, and Dean Baker.
He is survived by his wife, Dortha J. Leonard Baker; daughter, Billie Jo Newman and granddaughter, Taylor of Wheeling; three sons, Robert Ward, Cliff Ward and his wife, Cindi, and Kenneth Ward and his fiancee, Diane, all of Wheeling; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Elm Grove, Wheeling (304-242-2311), where a service will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Rev. April Forkey officiating.
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
