Eight Bishop Donahue High School seniors display pictures of some of the ‘‘Donahue Celebrates Disney’’ character in this year’s school Spring Musical to be presented Friday and Saturday evenings in the Raymond Jablinske Gymnasium. Students pictured are: front row from left, Renea Kudla, Lexi Tweedie and Chris Vani. Standing, Kelsey Schau, Lane LeMasters, Shannon Barrows, Hunter Kaschke and Marley Keller.
"The students are challenged every year to learn a genre of music they are not familiar with," says show producer Loretta Metz. She said, "They work hard to put their own individual stamp on the songs they choose.'' Metz said, "This year the students are having a ball with songs from their favorite Disney movies, songs chose this year include 'The Cinderella Work Song,' 'When You Wish Upon a Star,' 'I Just Can't Wait To Be King,' and 'Circle of Life,' to name a few."
The show will be a different experience this year as Mike Oliver, who was co-producer of the show and in charge of all music, has retired, Metz said. She stated, ''Mike is missed greatly for the sheer talent and expertise he brought to us for the many years he did the show. We are very fortunate to have Zach Harvey step in and pick up the reins.''
