The annual Caregiver Support Fair will be held at the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville Tuesday, May 6. It will be the 15th year of the event that showcases services for older adults and their caregivers.
More than 85 exhibitors will be participating in this year's event, officials of the fair committee said.
The exhibits will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day. Some of the exhibitors will provide free health care testing such as blood pressure checks, glaucoma testing, blood glucose, pulse oximetry and bone density testing.
Information also will be available on housing options, advanced directives, volunteer services, in-home care, home health, nursing homes, Medicare and a wide variety of other caregiving topics.
Entertainment will be provided throughout the day by area musicians and artists. The festivities will culminate with the always-popular older adult fashion show.
The Caregiver Support Fair is a project of the Belmont County Adult Services Coalition. The coalition is a group of social service health care providers and representatives of adult service organizations that meet monthly to coordinate support services for the adult residents of Belmont County and surrounding area.
The Adult Services Coalition meets at 2 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. For more information, call 304-243-5420 or email at jwojcik@faithin actionwheeling.org.
