Alicia Anne White and Douglas Edward Sargent were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. R. Paul Schafer officiating the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael White of Wheeling.
The groom is the son of Holly Basil of Wheeling and Douglas Sargent of Burgettstown, Pa.
Bethany Anderson was maid of honor. Curt Hastings served as best man.
Other attendants were Rylie White, Sarah Welling, Courtney Stiles, Allison Hickey, Andrew Coleman, Scott Sargent, Robert Evans, Christopher Baier, Lanie Burris and Kolden Burris.
A reception was held at Hellenic Center, Wheeling.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Wheeling Park High School and a 2004 graduate of West Liberty State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene. She is employed part-time in both the Wheeling and Pittsburgh areas as a dental hygienist.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Wheeling Park High School. He is employed by Consol Energy and is ranked sergeant first class with the West Virginia Army National Guard. He has served 13 years in the Army, including two tours in Iraq.
After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in Wheeling.
