Phyllis Loraine Pifer Wright of Moundsville died Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Acuity Specialty Hospital, Bellaire, OH.
She was born August 8, 1935, in Alvy, WV, daughter of the late Columbus David LeMasters and Virginia May Haught.
She had various careers in her lifetime, including city clerk of Cameron, WV, for over 20 years, managing her own real estate company, and working as a licensed practical nurse. She also served as a volunteer EMT for the Cameron area for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Pifer, and four brothers.
Survivors include her son by her first marriage, Timothy Pifer; her second husband, S. Gary Wright; stepchildren, Cheryl (Wright) Rayle, Michele (Wright) Zwolensky and Michael Wright; three brothers, and three sisters. She was a good Mom.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Steven Jumper officiating.
Interment will be with her first husband in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville.
