A project to have the Marshall County Courthouse roof replaced must be rebid after no contractors tried to get the job.
County Administrator Betsy Frohnapfel informed Commissioners Donald Mason, Brian Schambach and Robert Miller Jr. during a commission meeting that she received no bids from contractors for the project.
Advertisements seeking bids were published and she also contacted three different contractors.

The Marshall County Commission must rebid a job to have the courthouse roof replaced after no contractors submitted bids for the project.
"We have had a few projects (for) which we have only received one bid. I don't recall having put a project out to bid where we have not received at least one," Frohnapfel said.
The project involves replacing about 8,100 square feet of roof at the facility.
"This project needs to be complete before we can start a renovation project we are planning on the east side of the courthouse. We need to do some upgrades. In the process we are renovating/moving the fountain to develop a Veterans Plaza. From time to time local organizations request to put monuments in the courthouse yard. We are going to develop an area which is more conducive to this than what we have now," she added.
"Our next step is to rebid the project," she said.
