Betty J. Gouldsberry, 79, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 in Liza's Place, Wheeling, WV.
She was born June 10, 1935 in Greene Co., Richhill Township, PA, the daughter of the late Charles N. Carter and Ada Carter McCracken.
Betty graduated from Center Township High School In 1954 and from the Ohio Valley General School of Nursing in 1957.
Betty and her husband, Robert (Bob) were married on December 21, 1956 at the Middle Grave Creek Church of God. Together they started their own family business, Gouldsberry Cabinet Shop, LC.
Betty enjoyed sitting on her front porch, doing yard work and taking care of her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) W. Gouldsberry; and her stepfather, Byron J. McCracken; a stepsister, Peggy Ann Reed and a son-in-law, Terry W. Simmons.
Survivors are her three children, Cheryl A. (John) Sears of Moundsville, WV, David W. (Darlene) Gouldsberry of Moundsville, and Patricia L. (John) Kulavik of Cameron; seven grandchildren, Robert J. (Tab) Simmons, Samantha J. Simmons; Megan J. (Mike) Miller, Kori L. (Tanner Robinson) Gouldsberry, Johnathan D. Bopp, Amanda K. Klug, and David P. Klug; four great-grandchildren, Griffen D. Miller, Westen D. Miller, Sutton M. Robinson and Dallas W. Richards and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jim Jones officiating.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
