Marie J. Emerick, of Wheeling WV, died suddenly Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Wheeling Medical Park surrounded by her loving family.
Marie was born in Juniata, PA, the daughter of the late Julio and Rose Volpe Muccioli.
She was a homemaker, member of St. Michael Catholic Church, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who loved to play bingo, bunko, bake, crafts and go to concerts..
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Emerick II; sisters, Delores Rock and Linda Hominsky; brothers, Lud and Art Muccioli.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Joyce Ann Emerick of Avella, PA; daughter-in-law, Renee Emerick of Minnesota; three sisters, Loretta Weatherholt of Wheeling, Norma (Dino) DiVirigilio of Perryopolis, PA and Arlene (Dave) Shepler of Perryopolis, Pa; two brothers, Adam (Karen) Muccioli of Perryopolis, PA and Eddie (Beverly) Muccioli of Whitsett, PA; granddaughter, Sara Emerick of San Francisco, CA; numerous nieces and nephews and a very special family, Pam Brown and her husband, Lloyd, and their whole family consisting of mother, father, brother, sister, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling on Sunday, July 13, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 14 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church with Rev. Thomas R .Gallagher serving as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
