A Proctor man was arrested Sunday for allegedly tearing up his family's home in a rage and throwing a glass container across the room.
Shane Justin White, 32, of 90 Leggs Lane, was charged with domestic assault. He is being held at the Northern Regional Jail in lieu of a $2,000 bond.
According to the criminal complaint filed against White, deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff's Department responded to a call from White's father that White was "tearing up the house again" at the family's residence on Leggs Lane. Dispatchers also informed deputies that screaming could be heard in the background of the call.
In statements from the family members, White allegedly punched a hole in the bedroom wall and threw a glass container across the room. The family members reported they were afraid White was going to hurt someone as he was tearing up the house and throwing things.
A glass container was found broken on the floor while deputies were on scene.
In an interview with deputies, White said that his parents had told him to clean up, but he didn't want to clean.
White was transported to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office for processing and then taken to the Northern Regional Jail.
A trail hearing for White has not been set in Marshall County Magistrate Court.
