James Edward Yoho Jr. of Moundsville was arrested Monday after allegedly giving a woman a concussion Saturday during a fight involving several people.
Yoho reportedly picked the woman up by the throat and slammed her backward onto a kitchen table during a party in a residence on McCosh Lane in Marshall County.
Yoho, 20, of 628 Wilson Hill Lane, was charged with two counts of malicious wounding and battery.
According to the criminal complaint filed against Yoho, at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday the Marshall County Sheriff's Department met with Zane Klein, Ashley Manning, Cassandra Collins and Nathan Holden, no ages or addresses listed, who witnessed the the fight.
According to the witnesses' statements, Manning and Holden were beaten by Yoho during a party earlier that day at 5 McCosh Lane.
The complaint states Klein had been arguing with another man and the two began to fight. During the altercation, Manning allegedly tried to break up the fight when Yoho stood up and grabbed Manning by the throat and slammed her backward onto a kitchen table hitting her neck and head off the table.
