TORONTO – Toronto improved to 17-1 by downing Bishop Donahue.

Trevor Cooper hit two singles, Mike Garman had a single, double, and two RBI, and Shane Mosti hit two singles, a double, and two RBI for the Knights.

Bishop Donahue was paced by Jordan Angalich with a two hit and Kyle Gillis had two more.

PARKERSBURG – Dakota Wellman drove in the winning run with a sacrifice bunt as John Marshall won a high-scoring contest.

Wyatt Persinger was 4-for-5 with two singles, two triples, and four RBI to pace the Monarchs offense.

STEUBENVILLE – Ethan Tice hit a two-run double in the seventh inning to break a 4-4 tie and lift Edison past Steubenville.

Walter aided his own cause with three singles and an RBI.

Scott Castilow knocked in four runs for the patriots (10-9), while Chris King had two doubles, a single and four RBI, and Taylor Laird slapped three singles and a run.

Nick Breen tripled and singled for the Bruins.

CADIZ – Mike Androsko fired a no-hitter, striking out seven and walking two, as St. Clairsville bested Harrison Central.

Androsko aided the Red Devils offense, which scored five runs in the first inning, with two singles.

Dan Slavik had three singles and an RBI for St. Clairsville (13-3), while D.J. Busby laced a triple and two singles with two RBI, MacKenzie Koehler tripled and plated three runs, and T.J. Sliva had two singles and an RBI.

MARTINS FERRY – Buckeye Local scored runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings to get past Martins Ferry in Buckeye 8 action.

J.D. Sokolowski had the big bat for the Panthers, smashing a home run and double to knock in two runs.

Bobby Spence and Josh Malesky each singled twice for Buckeye Local.

Brad Hughes went the distance for the Panthers, striking out 12 and walking none.

Marco Ricchetti had two singles for the Purple Riders.

MINGO JUNCTION – Tim Newburn and Alan Hastwell were the big hitters for Indian Creek as the Redskins edged Edison.

Newburn singled and knocked in a run, while Hastwell singled and plated two runs.

Dominic Controguerra doubled and singled for the Wildcats, while Jared Falasca tripled with an RBI.

NEFFS – Nate Dober, Jimmy Gessler and Zac Liddle slapped two hits as Bridgeport held off a seventh inning rally.

Matthew Gregorcic got a victory for the Bulldogs, fanning eight.

Cody Gillespie had two singles for the Irish, while Travis Ogden tripled and plated two runs.

STEUBENVILLE – Steubenville Catholic scored all five of its runs in the sixth inning in edging Oak Glen.

Justin Teramana tripled and had three RBI for the Crusaders (9-6), while Mickey Bednar singled with an RBI. Jim Panella tripled.

Steven Barr had a double, two singles and two RBI for the Golden Bears (6-10), while Corey Evans doubled and singled.

BEALLSVILLE – Derek-London Dierkes came up a triple short of for the cycle and Josh Duffy pitched a three-hitter as Monroe Central crushed Beallsville.

Duffy struck out 15 and walked two for the Seminoles (6-6). Coleton Lindemood knocked in four runs on a double and single.

Brandon Heath singled with an RBI for the Blue Devils (1-13).

KIDWELL – Zack Knowlton laced two singles, a double and knocked in two runs as Tyler Consolidated edged Paden City in a slugfest.

Zack Minger doubled, singled and had two RBI for the Silver Knights, while Garrett Amos and Blaise Rice each plated two runs.

Malakai Anderson homered, tripled and had two RBI for the Wildcats, while Josh Bennett tripled, doubled and had an RBI.

SARAHSVILLE – Dalton Prichard had two doubles and five RBI as Shenandoah bested Frontier.

Brandon Starr added two doubles for the Zeps, while Kalob Davis and Marcus Wise laced two hits each.

Logan Hudson added two singles for the Tigers, while Patrick O’Donnell doubled.

STEUBENVILLE – Jordan Teramana knocked in three runs and Mickey Bednar pitched a shutout as Steubenville Central topped Brooke.

Ryan Ditmar had two singles and an RBI for the Crusaders (6-5), while Matt Robinson, Joe Bahen, and Dave Bertoia also knocked in runs.

NEW MARTINSVILLE – Mason Rine pitched two scoreless innings, while knocking in five runs with two singles and a double as Magnolia routed Paden City.

CADIZ – Mark Rogers earned a victory with seven strikeouts and helped his own cause with a home run and three RBI as Edison downed Harrison Central.

Jarred Falasca knocked in three runs, hitting a single and a double. Sean Connelly had a single, double, and two RBI for the Wildcats.

Jake Blanchard knocked in the Huskies’ lone run and Nick Pelegreen added two singles.

BARNESVILLE – Tyler Kurtz blanked Bridgeport behind seven strikeouts and allowing just one hit in a Barnesville victory.

Zack Dornan (two singles, double), Clint Healey (two singles, triple), and Nathan Carpenter (two singles) had multiple hits for the Shamrocks (10-2).

CAMERON – Mitchell French hit three singles and a solo home run, knocking in four runs as Cameron downed Clay-Battelle.

Austin McDonald added a single and a solo shot for the Dragons (8-4), followed by two singles and an RBI by Jake Walker, two singles by Austin Warsinksy, and a double by David Klug.

MINGO JUNCTION – Tyler McGary went the distance while also hitting three singles and driving in two runs as Union Local won.

Michael Michelli and Myron Jellison each drove in two runs for the Jets (9-2), while Darby Waller had a single and a triple. Ryan Tobiczyk and Justin Curry also added an RBI.

Vince Petrozzi hit a single and triple for the Redskins (8-5) and Dustin Freshwater added a single and an RBI and Ty Yochum hit a double.

OLD WASHINGTON – Chad Stengel earned a victory for Fort Frye, shutting out Buckeye Trail while also hitting two singles and knocking in a run.

BEALLSVILLE – Valley defeated Beallsville as Cody Bates hit a double and knocked in two runs, while teammates Alex Henderson (single, triple), Cody Scott (single, double, RBI), and Anthony Quinn (single, RBI) had solid games.

Brandon Heath hit a double with an RBI and Jarrod Mellinger hit a single with an RBI for the Blue Devils (1-11).

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Daniel Slavik hit a home run as St. Clairsville (10-3) beat Martins Ferry.

Tom Machovina added two singles and an RBI for the Red Devils, while T.J. Sliva hit a double.

Josh Nagel had a single, double, and RBI, and Marco Ricchetti hit a double with an RBI for the Purple Riders.

BELLAIRE – Brad Hughes hit a single, double, and a home run for four RBI as Buckeye Local downed Bellaire.

Josten Dear had a home run with three RBI for the Panthers, followed by Vinny Iandanza with two singles and an RBI, and Austin Marshall with a two singles, a double, and an RBI.

Bellaire was paced by Bobby Bennett with a single, double, home run and four RBI. Anthony Rocchio (two singles) and Dalton Conroy (single, double, RBI) had multiple hits for the Big Reds.

KIDWELL – Justin Fox had a four-hit day with two singles, a double, and a triple as Magnolia hammered Tyler Consolidated.

Jordan Moore hit two singles with an RBI for the Blue Eagles.

WELLSBURG – Brooke earned singles victories from Joey DiBartolomeo, Nick Cozad, and Michael Palma and a doubles victory from Derrick Wayne and Jackson Carey to edge John Marshall.

The Monarchs’ Derrick Artimez earned a singles victory and a double triumph with partner Brett Nadolski, while the No. 1 Doubles team of Dylan Berlin and Ryan Wilson were also victorious.

WARWOOD – James Long, Jose Byrd, Derek Andreini, and Paresh Sovani earned singles and doubles victories as Linsly blanked Wheeling Central.

WEIRTON – Logan Linder and Pat McCune combined on a three-hitter and Lou Comis, Eddie Nogay, Chris Eloi and Ryan Mendenhall drove in two runs each as Weirton Madonna (9-1) pounded Steubenville Catholic (5-5).

Not only did Linder earn a victory, but he swung a big bat with a pair of doubles and four RBI.

Justin Teramana had the Crusaders RBI, while Jimmy Panela doubles and Sean Harlan singled twice.

Cambridge 5

St. Clairsville 4

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Jimmy Antalis went five to earn a victory and also plated a run with a single to lead Cambridge (6-3) past St. Clairsville (9-3).

Tanner Roller had two and a pair of RBI for the Bobcats, while Tyler Ford and Tyler Hardesty had an RBI each.

Michael Young plated a run for the Red Devils. T.J. Sliva and Cory Kotopka added two singles, and Dan Slavik doubled.

WOODSFIELD – Corey Gerber drove in the lone run to back a 12-strikeout performance by Jonah Fryman, propelling Fort Frye (8-4) to a victory against Monroe Central (5-4). Justin Ellis added two singles for the Cadets.

Pacing the Seminoles was Korey Piatt, who singled for two of their four hits.

Bishop Donahue 9

Bridgeport 1

MOUNDSVILLE – Zach Whitfield struck out 11, scattered five hits and had two extra base hits including a homer, Bishop Donahue (8-6) ran past Bridgeport.

Andrew Smith sent two Bishops homeward with a single and a double, as did Wylie Koontz. Garrett Yurisko collected three singles and Austin Coffield doubled twice.

Nate Dover singled in a run for the Bulldogs, and Doug Barnett doubled.

Shadyside 8

SHADYSIDE – Patrick O’Donnell’s walk-off single brought home Ethan Crozier, who had also singled, as Shadyside toppled Harrison Central.

Josh Kernik, who sacrificed Crozier over, earned a victory.

Nick Pelegreen singled in two for the Huskies. J.P. Pelegreen and Shawn Pate had an RBI each.

Cameron 8,

Beallsville 6

BEALLSVILLE – Austin McDonald had four of Cameron’s 16 hits as the Dragons squeaked past Beallsville (1-10) by scoring a pair in the seventh. Mark Walker picked up a victory and also had two hits for the Dragons (7-4).

Mitchell French, Taylor Neely, Jimmy Higginson and Cory Midcap all had two hits.

Jarod Mellinger singled, homered and drove in two for the Blue Devils. Jared Kinney singled in two and Ryan Lude plated one.

John Marshall 7

Brooke 6

GLEN DALE – Matt Carnahan’s double scored Wyatt Persinger and Aaron Fonner to cap a four-run seventh that put John Marshall (4-7) past Brooke.

Chris Riggs was the winner in relief. He entered in the sixth and struck out two.

Logan Patrick singled, doubled and brought in a run in the seventh when he was hit by a pitch. Persinger plated three for the Monarchs and Jason Troy singled twice to bring in another.

Kyle Wales’ single and double brought two home for the Bruins. Paul DiPasquale and Nick Breen had an RBI each.
