Jose Davis Resigns at Bellaire

BELLAIRE – After spending five years as the head football coach at his alma mater, Jose Davis submitted his resignation and formally met with his team, informing it of his decision Wednesday afternoon.

Davis guided the Big Reds to a 27-25 mark during his tenure, including the OVAC Class 3A title this past fall and led them to back-to-back appearances in the Ohio playoffs.

This past season, Bellaire opened the season 1-2 before winning six in a row. It also grabbed a piece of the Buckeye 8 title before falling to Newark Catholic in the opening round of the Division VI tournament.
