Tribe Among Four Called for Rain

DETROIT (AP) – The game between the Cleveland Indians and Detroit Tigers was postponed Tuesday because of bad weather.

The Tigers said the Central division rivals’ first meeting of the season will be rescheduled – but not during this series.

Snowfall from an overnight storm was sticking to the grass in the area, and temperatures in the low 20s were predicted for Tuesday evening.

Detroit beat the Indians in 15 of 19 matchups last year and won their third straight division title.

The contest was one of four put on hold due to inclement weather. Also, postponed were games between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Baltimore Orioles, the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies; and the New York Yankees’ game against the Chicago Cubs.
