Brooke’s Spitak Claims Medalist Honors

WELLSBURG – Despite Michael Spitak earning medalist honors with a score of 76, Brooke (433) fell to Parkersburg South (407) in prep golf action Thursday at Highland Springs Golf Course.

Logan Lojszczyk added a 77 for the Bruins, while Evan Cuomo and Mario Boni added scores of 81 and 89, respectively.

Alex Schreckengost (79) and Adeena Shears (79) paced the Patriots.

Wheeling Park 329, Linsly 363 Madonna 366

WHEELING – Cole Hand earned the day’s top score with a 75 as Wheeling Park knocked off Linsly and Madonna at Speidel.

Garrett Bopp added an 81 for the Patriots while Jared Jordan carded 85 and Hunter Travis produced an 88.

David Coram and Jordan Patrick led the way for the Cadets with 82s. Nick Mazur equaled their scores to pace the Blue Dons.

BEALLSVILLE – Payton Moore’s 40 led all golfers as Magnolia earned a victory against St. Clairsville and Barnesville at Switzerland of Ohio Golf Course.

Shane Mason followed with a 48 for the Blue Eagles and Derrick Blain and Matthew Durig had 49s.

Leading the Red Devils were Chris Clark (43) and Josh Parman (46). Aspen Bauman (56), Davey Wells (59) led the Shamrocks.

Toronto 187, Indian Creek 193

BLOOMINGDALE – Caden Kelly came through with a 46 and was closely followed by Sante Caraducci’s 46 as Toronto edged past Indian Creek at Red Oaks Golf Course. Riley Keirsey added a 47 for the Red Knights, while Ben Hlivko finished with a 54. The Redskins’ Aaron Foldi won medalist with a 42.
