John Marshall baseball standout Logan Grimm, a three-year letterwinner for the Monarchs, recently signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic careers at West Liberty. Grimm has been first team all-Three Rivers Conference and All-Valley, as well as special honorable mention all-state. He is a two-year member of the Pittsburgh Outlaws Elite Travel Baseball Team and was a four-year member of East Ohio Travel Baseball Team. He also is a three-year letterman in basketball and holds the all-time 3-point record at John Marshall for field goals made in a season, game and career.

“It was not a hard decision to sign the National Letter of Intent to continue my academic and baseball career at West Liberty University. Playing collegiate baseball has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid. I visited West Liberty University at the beginning of the year and I could not imagine a better fit for my future,” Grimm said. “Though recruited by Division I, II and III, West Liberty University is the perfect option for me. I love baseball and want to continue my career while obtaining a great education to be a physical therapist.” Logan has been clocked at throwing his fastball in the upper 80s. He attended training at C-Side sports to perfect his changeup at 72 MPH. He throws his curveball with 11/5 rotation at 70 MPH and his slider at 73 MPH.
