Edison Defeats Cambridge in OVAC 4A Semifinal

RICHMOND — Edison scored five runs in the sixth inning en route to a 6-0 victory over Cambridge in an OVAC Class 4A semifinal matchup.

The Wildcats will ace off against the winner of Meadowbrook and St. Clairsville. The Red Devils and Colts will play Monday.

George Ash went the distance for the Wildcats (12-2) as he fired two strikeouts and allowed only two hits.

Offensively, Ryan Higgs supplied a single, double and RBI for Edison while both George Ash and Anthony Sinicropi both contributed with two singles.

For the Bobcats (11-6), Trent Valentine belted a doubled.


Brooke 6-13

Parkersburg South 5-5

WELLSBURG — Brooke played a game of longball as it swept Parkersburg South (11-12).

In the second game of a doubleheader, Maleaha Misch, Landyn Haynes and Kloee Billick all belted home runs to lift the Bruins (14-8).

Rachel Kazmirski finished the day with three singles, two doubles, 5 RBI and a complete game win with eight strikeouts in the opener.

Barnesville 19

East Liverpool 3

BARNESVILLE — Erin Hannahs and Madison Detling both homered Saturday afternoon helping power Barnesville to a prep softball victory against East Liverpool at Memorial Park.

Hannahs and Detling both finished with two RBI.

Edison 7, Buckeye Local 1

RICHMOND — Mikayla Petrisko tallied a single, double and two RBI as Edison defeated Buckeye Local. Mychi Stewartwas also solid for the Wilcats (9-9) with two singles and one RBI while Maddie Brenstuhl had a two-run single.
