PREP ROUNDUP: Jake Rice Walks Off for Tyler Consolidated in Beating Rival Magnolia

SISTERSVILLE — Jake Rice blistered the walkoff single in the eighth inning to lift Tyler Consolidated over Magnolia 11-10 on Wednesday.

Dylan Seckman threw seven innings of relief to earn the win and also delivered a single, a double and a RBI.

Tyler West turned in two doubles, Case Landis roped a single for two RBI and Noah Smith added a triple and a RBI for the Silver Knights (11-6).

Silas McKeever delivered a go-ahead grand slam with one out in the seventh for the Blue Eagles, while Brandon Mirandy and Woody London each drove in a run on two hits.

Wheeling Central 14, Oak Glen 2

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Kaden Yocum and Ben Foster combined to throw a no-hitter to lead Wheeling Central over Oak Glen at Washington Wild Things Park.

Sonny Peluchette paced the Maroon Knights (13-6) at the plate with three hits and two RBI.

Mike Toepfer delivered a triple, a double and four RBI and both Adam Murray and Dominic Pompeo generated two hits and two RBI.

Avery Lee garnered two doubles and a RBI in the win.

Shadyside 13, Cameron 0

MOUNDSVILLE — Anthony Coggins earned the win with four strikeouts and he belted a home run and drove in two to lead Shadyside over Cameron.

Ryan Florence provided a single, a double and four RBI, Korey Becket drove in two on a double and Collin Holmes added a single and two RBI for the Tigers.

Logan Burkett led the Dragons with two hits.

Weir 10, Union Local 4

MORRISTOWN — Drew Curtis led Weir over Union Local with two hits.

Reid Hoover singled and drove in three and Nick Paul singled and plated two for the Red Riders.

Cody Morrison paced the Jets with two hits and a double, while Kolby Smolira added a single and two RBI.

Hundred 15, Valley 2

HUNDRED — Christian Fluharty struck out 13 and added two doubles and three RBI to lead Hundred over Valley.

Hunter Tustin ripped two singles and a double for three RBI and Bryce Bartrug added two hits for the Hornets (6-8).

Monroe Central 4, Caldwell 3, 8 Innings

CALDWELL — Talin Babcock was a homer shy of the cycle as he delivered two doubles, a single, a triple and two RBI to lead Monroe Central over Caldwell in eight innings.

St. Clairsville 12, John Marshall 2

GLEN DALE — Kyle Storer laced four singles and two RBI as St. Clairsville rolled past John Marshall.

Matthew Busby also continued his strong campaign with a single, a double and a RBI for the Red Devils.

Reid Wiley paced the Monarchs (10-15) with two hits, while Joel Wise delivered a double and a RBI and Chas McCool added a single and a RBI.

Morgantown 4, Wheeling Park 3

WHEELING — Morgantown plated a run in the top of the seventh to edge Wheeling Park.

Ben Taylor paced the Patriots with a single and two RBI and James Salvatori drove in a run.

Bellaire 13, Bridgeport 0

BRIDGEPORT — Cody Albaugh laced two hits and drove in four, while Cole Porter added two hits and two RBI in a Bellaire victory over Bridgeport.

Steubenville 10, Harrison Central 5

STEUBENVILLE –Quinn McCoy garnered three hits and three RBI to lead Steubenville over Harrison Central.

Big Red also took advantage of a single, a triple and two RBI from Calvin Bickerstaff.

Kobe Mitchell paced the Huskies with two singles, a double and three RBI.

Indian Creek 11, Brooke 1

MINGO JUNCTION — Josh Speaker provided a single, a triple and a RBI as Indian Creek pounded Brooke.

Klay Cottis and Colton Wietfeld each added two hits and a RBI for the Redskins.

Mason Thompson paced the Bruins with a single and a double.

John Marshall 14, Warren 4

WARREN (OH) — Anna Blake and Mack Hall each supplied three hits and three RBI to lead John Marshall (16-12) over Warren.

Bellaire 13, Buckeye Local 3

ST. JOE — Melissa Lahna picked up career victory No. 200 as Bellaire defeated Buckeye Local. She is in her 17th season.

Tenley Hughes supplied the offense and the pitching for the Big Reds (11-10). She drove in four runs with a triple and solo home run, while scattering five hits and striking out a pair in a route-going performance.

Katrina Davis singled twice, doubled and drove in two runs. Natalie Stoner knocked in a pair with two singles and Kaitlyn Kosky singled, tripled and drove in one. Mia Gavarkavich and Courtney Ault both singled in runs.

Kya Demeter drove in two runs with a double and triple for the Panthers.

Barnesville 3, River 2

BARNESVILLE — Cayleigh Reynolds singled down the right field line with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning to score Erin Hannahs as the Shamrocks (12-11) rallied past the visiting Pilots at Memorial Park.

Hannahs reached on an error leading off the eighth and went to third on a sacrifrice bunt by Baylie Leach. With two outs, Madison Detling was walked intentionally to load the bases, setting the stage for Reynolds’ heroics.

River had tied the game in the top of the seventh with two runs, the last coming as Katie Rufener scored on a passed ball. Katie Lively has the other RBI.

Detling picked up the win in relief of Regan Hanlon, who struck out seven, walked five and scattered three hits. She also slugged a solo home run.

Reynolds finished with two singles.

Jonayah Moeller singled twice for the Pilots.

Garaway 5, Harrison Central 1

CADIZ — The Huskies (12-8) scoring troubles continued Wednesday against the visiting Pirates (13-6).

Garaway built a 5-0 lead before Harrison Central scored in the sixth.

Danyel Beadling had a double for the Huskies.

Harrison Central hosts Martins Ferry today.

Bridgeport 7, Linsly 5

BRIDGEPORT — Brooklyn Ruble fired 14 strikeouts to lead Bridgeport over Linsly.

Jaren Tucker accounted for two singles and a double, while Angie Sommers and Bri Conaway each singled and doubled.

Haley Heitz paced the Cadets with two singles and a double.

Magnolia 12, South Harrison 4

NEW MARTINSVILLE — Ashley Tharp homered, doubled, singled and drove in five runs to lead Magnolia over South Harrison.

Shy White plated a run on three hits, while Ashlynn Piekarski turned in two doubles and a single and Lindsay Whiteman accounted for three hits.

Weir 14, Madonna 2

WEIRTON — Mallory Rosnick laced three hits and drove in a run, while Bella Aperfine singled, tripled and plated three in a Weir win over Madonna.
