Sands Signs to Run at West Liberty

Wheeling Park’s Brenden Sands will continue his academic and athletic careers at West Liberty University. The senior ran cross country and is a distance runner on the Patriots’ track team, where he qualified for state last year in the 4x800. In cross country, he is a two-year letterman and helped the Patriots to a fourth place finish at state, running a personal best in the meet. His 4.05 GPA helped him earn a spot in the National Honors Society. Sands is flanked by Rosemary Sands and mother Raina Sands.
