ELLENBORO — Silas McKeever provided two hits but Ritchie County was too strong as it upended Magnolia 13-6 in a West Virginia Class A Region One, Section One contest.

Oak Glen 13, Weir 3

NEW CUMBERLAND — Michael Lemley generated three RBI as Oak Glen defeated Weir in sectional play.

Hunter Patterson and Zach Taylor each plated two for the Golden Bears (16-9).

Nick Paul led the Red Riders (13-12) with two hits and Elijah Gillette collected a triple and two RBI.

Regular Season

Steubenville Catholic 7, Indian Creek 6

WINTERSVILLE — A nine-inning thriller went the visitors way in this one as Steubenville Catholic outlasted Indian Creek.

Noah Fayak laced a single, a double and plated a run to pace the Crusaders. He was followed by Jaden Keeder’s two hits and a RBI and Paul Carpolotti’s RBI knock.

Coy Amis and Josh Speaker each delivered a single, a double and a RBI for the Redskins. Tyler Smarrella and Peyton Michalos each plated a run on one hit and Klay Cottis drove in a run.

Martins Ferry 11, Edison 4

MARTINS FERRY — Martins Ferry exploded for six runs in the sixth inning in downing visiting Edison.

Trevor Hanson went the distance on the hill for Anthony Reasbeck’s Purple Riders (10-12). He fanned three and walked two.

Jake Probst sparked Ferry with a double and two RBI while Chase Goff plated two runs with a single. Colin Snedeker chipped in with two singles while Dasyn Hores had an RBI double.

Fort Frye 2, Monroe Central 0

WOODSFIELD — Monroe Central was held to four hits and was shutout for the second straight day as Fort Frye pulled out the win.
