Missing West Virginia teen found safe

LEWISBURG, W.Va. (AP) — A West Virginia sheriff says a teenage girl who had been the subject of an Amber alert has been found safe.
Greenbrier County Sheriff Bruce Sloan said in a statement on Facebook that tips from the public led deputies to find the 14-year-old girl Thursday night.
The statement said the teen was with Christopher Rider, a 27-year-old sex offender, and another man. They were located in the Neola area of Greenbrier County. Both men were taken into custody.
Sloan said the agency was thankful for the tips that led to the safe return of the girl.
