Bridgeport Bulldogs Head coach: Mallory Cooper
Bridgeport head coach Mallory Cooper and assistant coach Chelsey Strain are excited about what the Bulldogs will be bringing to the table for the 2017 OVAC Cheering Championships at Wheeling’s Wesbanco Arena.
”Our routine this year is energetic and eye-catching,” Strain said. ”It’s filled with difficulty and originality.
”It’s not your typical ‘Bridgeport’ routine.”
Strain is a veteran of guiding athletes through the rigors of OVAC competition.
”I coached St. John for two years,” she said. ”Both years, they placed second in OVACs. This is my second year at Bridgeport.”
The Bulldogs have seven girls competing with two alternates.
Bridgeport’s squad consists of senior Jasmine Rogers, juniors Vetra Foster, Maryjane Williams, Mackenzie Hammer and Kayla Kuri, and freshmen Kira Herman and Danielle Bradac.
Sophomore Ayana Green and freshman Katie McConn are the alternates.
