Shooks Mark 40 Years
Jerry and Ann Shook of Glen Dale are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today, Sept. 21.
They were united in marriage at the first outdoor wedding at Grand Vue Park’s amphitheater in 1974, the same year the park opened in Marshall County. The wedding was performed by the Rev. Raymond Crow.
Ann Shook is the daughter of Catharine Blake of Moundsville and the late Eldon Blake. She is a retired administrative assistant at AEP Kammer-Mitchell Plant.
Jerry Shook is the son of Virginia Hossman of Glen Dale. He is retired from Marshall County Schools where he taught physical education at Sherrard Elementary School and Hilltop Elementary School. He also was a track coach for John Marshall High School and Wheeling Jesuit University.
They are the parents of two daughters, Jennifer of Zanesville and Josie of McMechen. They have three grandchildren.
A celebration was held at Grand Vue Park Saturday, Sept. 20.
