Jack and Anita Basinger of Warwood, Wheeling, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, April 23.

They were united in marriage April 23, 1955 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Wheeling, by the late Rev. Phillip Brady.

Anita Basinger is the former Anita Reineke. She is retired from Centre TV Cable of Warwood.

Jack Basinger is retired from Progressive Bank, Warwood branch.

They are the parents of four children, all of Wheeling. The family includes J.P. and his wife, Camille; Tommy and his wife, Lisa; Chris and his wife, Amy; and Tina Lufft and her fiance, Bill Bowen. They have seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The couple celebrated with a family dinner at Ye Olde Alpha.
