Earnests Mark Golden
Lloyd and Donna Earnest of Cameron will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday, June 18.
They were united in marriage on June 18, 1965 at Big Run Christian Church by the Rev. Harry Gill.
Lloyd Lee Earnest is the youngest son of the late T. Raymond and Maxine Earnest.
Donna Logsdon Earnest is the daughter of the late Joseph and Charlotte Logsdon.
The couple both graduated from Cameron High School where they were high school sweethearts.
Lloyd Earnest graduated from West Virginia University in 1966 with a degree in agriculture education. He returned to Cameron High School in 1975 to teach vocational agriculture for more than 25 years. He retired in 2000 but continues to work for Marshall County Schools as supervisor of energy.
Donna Earnest devoted her life to raising their children and spent countless hours helping her husband with the Cameron High School Future Farmers of America program.
They still attend Big Run Christian Church.
They are the parents of a son, Stephen, and his wife Flora; and a daughter, Lisa, and her husband, Jose.
An open house reception will take place in their honor on Saturday, June 13 at the Old Cameron High School starting at 4 p.m.
