Thorns Celebrate 50th
Ronald and Charlotte Thorn of Wheeling celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, May 1.
They were united in marriage on May 1, 1965 at St. Joseph Cathedral in Wheeling.
Charlotte Thorn is the daughter of the late James “Zip” and Gladys Hercules Shafer and the step-daughter of the late Harry Shafer.
She is a homemaker.
Ronald Thorn is the son of the late Rosemond “Rudy” and Edna Mae Thorn.
He is retired from the City of Wheeling after 43 years of service.
They are the parents of two sons, Ronnie (Beth) Thorn and Jason (Jaclyn) Thorn, all of Wheeling. Four grandchildren complete the family.
