Nixons Celebrate 56th
Janet and Jerry Nixon
Jerry and Janet Nixon of Wheeling celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on Friday.
They were united in marriage on June 30, 1961 at Cross Roads United Methodist Church in Philippi, W.Va.
Jerry Nixon is retired from Carpenters Local No. 3. He works in the maintenance department of Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Wheeling.
Janet Nixon is retired from a career in sales. She enjoys decorating, cooking and volunteering.
They are the parents of Lisa (George) Kleevic of St. Clairsville and Jerry Scott (Karen) Nixon of Wheeling. They have four grandsons.
The couple took a cruise to celebrate the occasion and Jerry Nixon’s 75th birthday, also on June 30.
