Bob and Doty Carl of Bethlehem celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday.

They were united in marriage on Aug. 24, 1957, at the former Zion Lutheran Church in Wheeling by the late Rev. William M. Erhard.

Bob Carl is the son of the late Joseph G. and Laura Carl. He is retired from H.E. Neumann.

Doty Carl is the daughter of the late Wilbur and Jean Hawkins. She is retired from the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 83 Credit Union.

They are the parents of four children. The family includes David and Gail Carl of Pittsburgh; Michael and Elisha Carl of Wheeling; Douglas Carl and Summer Reddick of Atlanta, Ga.; and Stephanie and Craig Greene of Atlanta, Ga. Six grandchildren and one great-grandchild complete the family.
